CPR Training

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training is a valuable skill that not only has the potential to save lives but also enhances personal and community well-being, workplace safety, and health literacy. It’s a crucial life skill with widespread benefits that can make a significant impact when emergencies occur.

Benefits of CPR Training

Life-Saving Skills

  • Immediate Response: CPR can be a lifesaver in emergencies, such as when someone goes into cardiac arrest. The sooner CPR is initiated, the higher the chances of survival.
  • Increases Survival Rates: Studies show that bystander CPR can significantly improve the chances of survival for a person experiencing cardiac arrest, particularly if done promptly and effectively.

Improves Confidence in Emergencies

  • Preparedness: Knowing how to perform CPR empowers individuals to act confidently and calmly in high-stress situations.
  • Reduces Fear: Many people freeze or panic during emergencies, but CPR training provides the knowledge and skills to take decisive action.

Helps Protect Loved Ones

  • Family & Friends: Whether at home, at a social event, or on vacation, CPR knowledge can help you protect those closest to you in case of an emergency.
  • Immediate Action: In many emergency scenarios, first responders may take several minutes to arrive, and CPR can be the critical difference in sustaining life until they do.

Increased Community Resilience

  • Community Preparedness: When more people are trained in CPR, communities as a whole become better equipped to handle emergencies, making the environment safer.
  • Chain of Survival: CPR is a key part of the “Chain of Survival” in emergency medical systems, which includes early recognition of cardiac arrest, early defibrillation (AED use), and post-resuscitation care.

Expands Career Opportunities

  • Professional Requirement: Many professions (such as teaching, childcare, healthcare, and fitness) require CPR certification as part of their job qualifications.
  • Enhances Resume: Having CPR training can make you more competitive in the job market and may be required for certain roles, especially in emergency response or healthcare fields.

First Aid Training

Benefits of FIRST AID Training

Life-Saving Skills

First aid can stabilize the condition of an injured person until more advanced medical help arrives, potentially preventing the situation from worsening.

Reduces the Risk of Complications

Proper first aid can reduce the risk of complications from injuries by preventing infection (e.g., cleaning and dressing wounds)

Boosts Confidence in Emergencies

First aid training prepares individuals to act quickly and effectively during medical emergencies.

Reduces Healthcare Costs

First aid training can reduce unnecessary visits to the hospital or emergency room for conditions that can be managed at home.

Increases Childcare Safety

Parents and guardians who are first aid trained are better equipped to handle accidents at home or in public.

AED Training

Training in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) offers a wide range of benefits. AEDs are life-saving devices that can restore a normal heart rhythm during a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) by delivering a shock to the heart. When paired with CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AEDs dramatically increase the chances of survival.

Benefits of AED Training

Increases Survival Rates

  • Immediate Action: Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere and often occurs without warning. Early defibrillation is critical. An AED can restore a normal heart rhythm within minutes, significantly improving survival rates.
  • Improved Outcomes with Early Use: Research shows that when CPR is combined with AED use within the first 3-5 minutes of a cardiac arrest, survival rates can increase by up to 75%. The faster you can apply the AED, the higher the chances of saving a life.

Maximizes the Effectiveness of CPR

  • A Complementary Skill: When used in combination with CPR, AEDs increase the chances of survival by providing a shock to the heart, which can restore its rhythm. AED training often includes CPR as part of the course, making it an even more powerful tool for saving lives.
  • Supports Rescuers: AED training provides critical knowledge on how to combine chest compressions with the shock delivered by the AED, optimizing the overall effectiveness of the rescue effort.

Reduces Risk of Legal Liability

  • Good Samaritan Laws: Many countries and states have “Good Samaritan” laws that protect people from legal liability when they administer first aid, including CPR and AED use, in good faith. Training provides the confidence to act within the law, knowing that you are following proper procedures.
  • Minimizes Hesitation: Legal concerns are one of the reasons people hesitate to step in during an emergency. AED training reduces these fears by clarifying what is legally expected and permitted in such situations.

The estimated travel time from Ascot to Heathrow is typically 30-60 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. We recommend allowing extra time for your journey, especially during peak hours.

When someone becomes unconscious, check to see if they are breathing

for at least 10 secs; if they are not breathing, then begin CPR ASAP.

Research has shown that CPR performed by a bystander improves the

survival chances for a victim of cardiac arrest.
